Georgia Hope Grant

Available to Georgia residents who are working toward a certificate or diploma (continuing education programs are not eligible) at an eligible college or university in Georgia. Students must be Georgia residents who are US citizens or eligible non-citizens. The Promise covers four or more semesters and can be used at eligible Georgia colleges and universities for a vocational award or for the general education requirements needed for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

Georgia HOPE Scholarship

Serves Georgia residents who are US citizens or eligible non-citizens. Students must graduate from an eligible high school with a minimum 3.0 HOPE GPA (as calculated by GSFC) and meet specific rigor course requirements, or if graduating from an ineligible high school,, the student must score in the national composite 75th percentile or higher on the SAT or ACT prior to high school graduation/home study completion/GED. The Promise covers two semesters and can be used at eligible Georgia colleges and universities, for a vocational award or for the general education requirements needed for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

Local 

Achieve Atlanta

Available to students who attended an Atlanta public school (including charters) since 11th grade, have an expected family contribution of $80,000 or less and a minimum 75 GPA. Students must plan to enroll in college in the semester immediately following high school graduation. The Promise covers four or more semesters and can be used at any accredited two- or fouryear institution which has a College Scorecard graduation rate of 44% or more. The Promise can be used for a vocational award or for the general education requirements needed for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Additionally, the Promise provides support including financial education, mentoring, and advising. Must be a full-time student to receive the Promise.
